The Exchange is a bronze sculpture that depicts a life size Raven holding a chess piece ( a rook/tower) in its beak. This is the third in a series of Raven sculptures exploring the impact these animals have on human culture around the world. The symbolism of this sculpture is drawn from a story of British origin, whereupon it is said that at all times there must be Ravens at the Tower of London, otherwise the British Empire shall fall. A significant story that holds the Raven in a special place a reverence.
